The idea was to showcase the deep connection between the two, emphasizing that Blue Star’s survival was about more than just selling donuts—it was a testament to the strength of Portland’s support. By blending heartfelt interviews with visual storytelling, we conveyed a message of gratitude and resilience.
The technical execution involved capturing heartfelt interviews with staff, highlighting their reflections on the journey and the love they put into crafting each donut. We also filmed key moments from a new store opening, showcasing the vibrant energy and renewed commitment to the community. The footage combined to create a narrative that celebrated Portland’s generosity and Blue Star’s dedication to excellence.
